High Raw Food ~ Peas, Paneer and Peanut Salad


Today’s salad is a fusion of 3 P’s, peas, paneer and peanuts. An outcome of whatever was available at home and it turned out simply fabulous! Finished with a generous amount of coarsely pounded roasted peanuts, the 3 P salad is one of the best high raw food salad recipes I have ever made.

Bring together 1 chopped apple, 1 peeled and chopped cucumber, fistful of boiled fresh green peas, 1 grated carrot, 1/4 cup paneer cubes (sauteed in a tsp of oil for 2-3 mts), salt and pepper to taste, 1/2 tbsp honey, 1 1/2 tbsps coarsely ground roasted peanuts. Toss well. Add any fruit of your choice.

Monday high raw food diet ~

Morning: 6.15 am – Glass of luke warm lemon water
Breakfast: 7.30 am – Small bowl of soaked yellow moong dal, small chopped onion, small chopped tomato, sliced almonds (soaked and peeled), chopped coriander leaves and a dash of lime and pepper and tsp of honey. Toss well.
Mid Morning: 9.30 am – A guava and small bowl of papaya
Mid Morning: 11 am – Glass of sweet lime juice
Lunch: 1.30 pm – Peas, Paneer and Peanut Salad
Late Afternoon: 4 pm – Cup of green tea
Dinner: 6.45 pm – Flax seeds-Papaya-Orange Smoothie
Drank more water than usual. I squeezed juice of two lemons in 2 1/2 lts of water that I’ve drinking through out the day. Just before going to bed, I will take a tsp of triphala churna with a tbsp of honey.

    The salad recipe comes at the right time when I am thinking about reducing my weight.. but weren’t you hungry after the lunch meal? you just had a cup of tea between 1.30 and 6.45.

    I didn’t have any hunger pangs. Drinking a lot of water too.

    hi sailu gaaru….monday raw food recipes kramam thappakunda post chestunanduku thanks andi. i hope u continue this forever. i have a doubt. nenu saturdays fasting chestaanu. morning tea n biscuits ….lunch rice with curries and night lo opika unte edaina tiffin chestaanu, otherwise i sleep without eating anything. am i following correct diet? meeru cheppe monday raw foods ….saturday fasting lo teesukovacha? week lo 2 days rawfood is good? one more thing is …u tell to drink a lot of lime water. but ee winter season lo cold n cough easy gaa vachestaayi kada. lime water tho condition inka worst avvada? ok bye sailu n all the best… waiting for ur reply…

    Rani garu, from what I understand, you fast on Saturday and eat rice with curry for lunch. Did I get that right? If you are on fast, do you eat rice?

    Its better to eat a light dinner with more liquid like soup rather than skipping food completely. You can follow the high raw food diet on Saturday. Yes, you can drink lime water esp in luke warm water. Its rich in Vit C and increase body resistance. I have not had any issues. You can consult with your doctor.

    Regarding following high raw food diet for 2 days, I personally can follow it. But I’d advise you to consult with your family doctor before resorting to it on a regular basis.

Regarding my question… fasting here …it doesnt mean that i skip rice completely. actually i should not have used the word “fasting”. i was wrong. we say “oka poddu” or “oka poota bhojanam” in telugu. fasting is actually what we do on shivarathri i.e “upavaasam”. And sailu… ur correct that lime is a good source of vit C . i also see people drinking lime water when they have cold. they say that it controls cold. i was amazed. But for me sailu….lime is OK during summers and in winters if i drink …my throat sores. i dont know why. it might differ person to person. Anyways, thanks sailu… u care a lot for ur readers. Everybody will appreciate ur work.bye…..and sailu u said that u will update KZ this week.

    My routine is to visit your website for recipes whenever I have a get together in my house. I always wanted to say Thank You for this wonderful site. The raw salad recipes are the best. I wish I had these recipes on hand for one week detox diet I was doing 6 months back. I ran out of ideas at that time. But these are definitely helpful for me to stay on track.
