You can flavor the lassi with either ginger juice, green chili, black pepper, mint, coriander leaves or black salt.

 Main Ingredients:

  •  yogurt


  •   Yogurt - 2 cup, (curd) chilled, thick and beaten with a wooden churner
  •   Water - 1 cup, chilled
  •   Salt - 1/2 tsp
  •   Ginger juice - 1 1/2 tsps (optional)
  •   Black salt - pinch
  •   Roasted cumin powder - pinch (optional)

Method for making

In a bowl, beat the thick yogurt with a wooden churner or hand blender till smooth.
Add water, salt, black salt, ginger juice and churner with wooden churner till frothy.
Pour into glasses and serve.


  •   Curd set in a clay pot or matka is best to make lassi.
  •   You can add mint leaves or coriander leaves as garnish.
  •   A tbsp of lemon juice can also be added.
