I made the tutti frutti cookies but it had that strong oil smell to it. I used vegetable oil.

Hi sailu,
Your reciepes are soo good and delicious.
I tried making tutti fruiti cookies but,they turn like rocks.
and i tried the second batch by maintaining the time precisly,this time they came out well but,they were not cookies it turned into cake
i use stove top oven do u think that oven is apt for making cookies.please suggest me regarding this issue.it will be helpfull for me.

I am looking for the recipe for salt biscuits, the ones that are available in the local bakeries, they are usually light brown in colour and are served with coffee and tea. Do you have any such recipe ?
