I love your website and your recipes have won over so many of my friends and family. This may seem like a silly question, but when soaking the chillies in buttermilk since we have to let it soak for a couple of days, do you leave it out or do you keep it in the fridge? Will the buttermilk spoil if left out that long? I am anxious to try this recipe because my husband loves these but I never knew how to make them.

Hi,<br

My husband loves them so much that we go through a crazy amount of these every month! I use these instead of red chillies in the popu/tadka in pappu, especially, mamidikaya pappu (mango dal) and nimmakaya pappu (lime/lemon dal). Thanks so much for the recipe.I should try out majjigamirapakaya in tadka while preparing nimmakaya pappu, Aparna.

I am definitely going to try to make majjiga mirapakayulu after seeing this recipe, Sailu. With Vendi ginnalu, kanakambaralu and Banti puvvulu, ugadi & srirama navami pictures look very traditional and making me nostalgic. Can you post regarding boodida Gummadikaya vadiyalu. I like the combination of pulusu + gummadikaya vadiyalu + rice + ghee.

Sailu,

Lovely post. I like your presentation & pictures.<br
